New Waveform Bench for Kirkburn Parish Council: A Tribute to VE and VJ Day

To commemorate the significant historical events of VE (Victory in Europe) and VJ (Victory over Japan) Day, a new 1.80m Waveform bench has been delivered to the Kirkburn Parish Council in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This addition marks another chapter in the council's ongoing commitment to honouring our history and providing spaces for reflection and remembrance.
Kirkburn Parish Council has previously received several benches from Woodcraft UK, each designed with extended legs for in-ground siting. Below is a video of Luke building a previous Waveform bench for them commemorating the Apollo moon landing.
The latest bench, specifically crafted to commemorate VE and VJ Day, continues this tradition of creating meaningful memorials. The bench was delivered to a parish councillor's garden, where it will soon be installed by the council members themselves.
